Chris and I are off work for the holiday so we decided to be lazy and not leave the house until now to get breakfast at IHOP. Whenever I eat here I always have to get a stuffed crepe, they're sooo good!
Tomorrow we're planning to watch the fireworks downtown with a friend who has a rooftop view,I can't wait. I love fireworks on the fourth!
Yesterday Erin and I took a much needed trip to The Little Dipper for fondue. Wednesdays are ladies night so we split cheese and chocolate fondues. So delicious! We also splurged a little and got sides of grilled chicken and shrimp and a bottle of wine.
Even though I have the sweetest boyfriend, I really love having girl time with my girlfriends. There's just nothing like girly gossip, wine and chocolate. Its the best combination! We're going to try to go to back at least once a month so any other girls who are interested in joining us let me know. :)
I just got my first Cath Kidson magazine in the mail, and I want everything in it! I already have a journal by them I just wish I could get more items here in the states. They're based in the UK and have the sweetest British floral patterns I've seen. If I could I would decorate my whole house like this, ah maybe someday. :)
The latest addition to my desk at work is a little plant. I can't remember what kind it was, I picked it up at the farmers market a few weeks ago. I thought it was small and cute so I stuck it in a teacup. I'm not usually good with plants so I'm really pleased this one is still alive, lol. Maybe I can get a few more and start a whole teacup garden on my desk! ;)
I'd wanted one for a while and when I mentioned it to Brandy she found one for me on ebay. It just came in today! I love it! :)
I love finding new blogs to follow, my google reader is always bursting at the seams with posts I have yet to check. Today I found one more, i can read It's a pretty simple tumblog with posts of images with words, but I spent hours today at work on my blackberry looking at them all. I was feeling kinda down earlier and the inspirational and quirky posts made me feel so much better. It was just what I needed. :) Here's a few of my favorites:
Made it to the farmers market today, I usually oversleep but today I made it there before it got too late. This time I picked up some feta from my favorite goat cheese vendor, squash, and a bouquet of pink flowers. I love the variety of plants and veggies available, there's usually something new each time I go. Afterwards I sat on a bench and watched the Henrietta sail by. I love beautiful afternoons in downtown Wilmington.
